Before you begin reading, this is just my personal experience and how I feel about the situation. Not all of you may feel the same way regarding how this situation was handled by myself or Brooks Brothers.

The day before my wedding, I went into a Brooks Brothers factory store at the Tanger outlet in Riverhead, Long Island this past Friday, Dec 30 2011 to buy a black suit. I bought a suit and didn't notice until the following day (the day of my wedding) that the store clerks hadn't removed the anti-theft tag!!!!!!! Suffice to say I was steaming!!! Told myself that I wouldn't let the situation ruin my wedding but it had been on my mind through out the entire day. So I called Brooks Brothers customer service regarding the situation and they explained that I visit the store and explain what happened with the store manager.

I visited the store on 1/1/2012 as suggested by the rep on the phone. When I arrived, I asked the cashier for the store manager, Gillian Castiglione. The manager came out and asked what the issue was, I explained the entire situation and she began getting upset without explaining what she was upset about??? Then I had asked "why do you seem frustrated?" and her reply was that she was frustrated at her associates about the situation. She was like a robot, very unemotional and unsympathetic of my situation. She explained that she'd provide me with an additional 50% off the cost of the jacket which I felt wasn't enough. She also told me that she'd call customer service to request a gift card but I found out through customer service that she had never made the call in- what kind of BS is that? I spent about $50 in gas to travel out to Riverhead alone, yet all I receive is another 50% off for what I paid for the troubles that I went through? I've spent thousands of dollars, always bragged about with people I know the high quality brand and service only to receive this type of treatment!?!?!?!?! I AM PISSED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

50% off a suit?!!!! Please leave the security tag on mine!

You should be happy for that minor mistake. She just saved you more money on your wedding. By the way, you should have bought the suit way in advance. You just stressed yourself out and now you are taking it out on the manger who gave you a great deal!

Get over it and enjoy your marriage. There will bigger problems than a security tag left on your suit.

BS. OBrooks Brothers does not sell black suits other than formal wear, ever since President Lincoln was shot while wearing a black Brooks Brothers suit.

you are a L-O-S-E-R!!! Not only are you making a federal case over a cashier mistake, that the manager tried to fix, but shouldn't you be on your honeymoon?...Have a feeling that whatever they did for you at the store wasn't gonna be good enough. You are way out of line, and can you please clear up how this "screwed up" your wedding?

Gillian gave you an extrz 50% off a suit that probably cost hundreds of dollars. (You didn't mention the cost of the suit.) Get over it. Simple, honest mistake.

If I was your wife to be, I would have left you as soon as I found out how keen you were on marrying me by not buying your suit sooner!

Honest mistakes happen, but you should not have left it to the last minute! you're making me FUME!!!
